River Falls RR

This weekend I'll be heading back down to Greenville, SC for the last two spring series races. The weather looks like it'll be around 70 on saturday and in the 50's on sunday. It'll be nice to race in some warm weather.

Saturday's race will be on the River Falls course. I did this race last year, and was not pleased with the outcome of it. Of course I was 25lbs heavier, and probably only putting out 280 watts at threshold. Put this together and you get that my PWR = SLOW. The course has a pretty good little hill in it that you do every lap. Its not a 5 mile climb, but its enough to shake things up. The bad thing about it is that its right before the start/finish too. The legs are feeling good though so hopefully the hill will be useful for the finish. Never thought I'd say that.

Sunday's race is a crit at the BMW center. I've not done this race before, so I have no insight. But its a crit, and I love crits, so it can't be that bad. I just hope its flat, fast, and technical.

Like I said the legs feel good, so with a bit of luck I'll have a good weekend. I'm halfway to upgrading to Cat3, so any points towards that would be welcomed.

Good luck if you're racing this weekend, and have a safe trip.

Race recap on monday.
